A harmonious return to body, breath, and inner stillness

A rejuvenating weekend to immerse yourself in the foundational practice of Qi Gong through the celebrated sequence of the Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin): a series of fluid and profound movements that promote health, centeredness, and overall wellbeing.

In a quiet and welcoming setting, we will guide you on a journey of reconnection to your body and inner vitality, through practices accessible to everyone, even those with no prior experience.

What you'll experience during the retreat

  • Learning the complete sequence of the Eight Pieces of Brocade, with attention to listening and individual rhythm
  • Postural alignment while standing and sitting, to release tension and promote stability and deep relaxation
  • Conscious diaphragmatic breathing to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and regulate the nervous system
  • Energetic self-massage and silent meditation to complete the experience and integrate the practice

At the end of the retreat you will receive a handout with detailed explanations of the exercises and a support video to practice the sequence at home.

What is Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient discipline of the Chinese tradition that combines slow and harmonious movements, deep breathing techniques, and mental concentration to cultivate, balance, and strengthen the internal vital energy, called Qi.

Through postural exercises, meditation, and visualizations, Qi Gong aims to promote the free circulation of energy in the body’s energy meridians, thus supporting the health of internal organs and promoting profound physical and mental wellbeing.

What is Ba Duan Jin?

Ba Duan Jin – The Eight Pieces of Brocade – is one of the oldest and most popular practices in traditional Chinese Qi Gong.

It consists of a series of eight simple but profound movements designed to improve the health of the body and mind.

Through slow movement, conscious breathing, and progressive relaxation, this practice acts on the energy meridians, stimulates the internal organs, and promotes a feeling of calm, presence, and well-being.

Each exercise works specifically on different areas of the body and has targeted benefits on the nervous, respiratory, digestive, and muscular systems.

The sequence is accessible to everyone, even those who are new to conscious body practice.

Why participate?

We often live disconnected from our bodies and overwhelmed by stress. The practice of Qi Gong invites us to move with presence, breathe deeply, and rebalance our body-mind system.

It will be an opportunity to return to a natural state of calm, vitality, and inner clarity.

By practicing the Ba Duan Jin sequence:

  • You will release tension through conscious movement
  • You will reconnect with your breath as a source of stability and well-being
  • You will regulate your nervous system by learning to calm your mind

Move with awareness. Breathe freely.

A weekend to rediscover your inner space through the ancient practice of Qi Gong — cultivating energy, presence, and tranquility.

We look forward to seeing you there.
