Spend a relaxing weekend at Valle Benedetta
If you are tired of the pace of daily life, of constant movement, noise, and responsibility, and you long to pause, breathe deeply, and truly recharge,
we warmly invite you to spend a weekend with us in the quiet beauty of Valle Benedetta Retreat Center.
Here, every step slows you down. Tension gently dissolves. The body unwinds. The mind clears.
You return home refreshed, rebalanced, and filled with new energy.
Arrive. Exhale. Unwind.
Imagine arriving in Valle Benedetta.
The road grows quieter. The air feels lighter.
You step out of the car and pause.
There is space here. Space in the landscape, space in your breath.
You inhale slowly. And for the first time in a while, you are not in a hurry.
The scent of trees and warm earth surrounds you.A soft breeze carries a touch of sea air.
Your shoulders begin to drop.Your jaw softens.Your nervous system settles.
You walk slowly, without needing to get anywhere. You sit in the sun, or under the shade of the tree. You listen to birds instead of notifications.
Nothing is required of you.
No performance. No decisions. No pressure.
Just rest.
By the end of the weekend, something subtle has shifted.
Your body feels lighter. Your mind clearer. Your energy renewed.
You have been on all the time
You answer messages. You meet deadlines. You scroll. You react. You keep going.
Even when you rest, your mind doesn’t.
The phone is always near. Notifications never really stop. Your system stays slightly activated — all the time.
You may not even notice how tired you are.
→ What if, for one weekend, you could truly switch off?
Wouldn’t it feel relieving to put your phone away and not miss anything that matters?
→ What if your body could fully unwind, not just for an hour, but for days?
Wouldn’t it feel good to sleep deeply and wake up without tension?
→ What if you didn’t have to be available to everyone else, at least for a weekend?
Wouldn’t it feel nourishing to finally do something just for yourself?
→ And what if, in the quiet, you began to hear your own voice more clearly?
Wouldn’t it feel grounding to listen to yourself again?
This weekend is not about changing your life.
It is about pausing.
About letting your system reset.
About remembering what it feels like to be unhurried, undistracted, and at ease.
Valle Benedetta Retreat Center, where the environment becomes part of the work
Valle Benedetta rests in the quiet hills above Livorno, surrounded by forest and open sky. The land itself feels protective, held, spacious, undisturbed. There is no rush here. The air is fresh, lightly touched by the nearby sea. Sound softens. Breathing deepens.
Your nervous system begins to settle before you even realize it.
And from that settling, real transformation becomes possible.
You will be staying at Villa Sambuca, lovingly restored using natural materials such as hemp bricks and lime plaster. The house breathes. The atmosphere feels warm, grounded, alive. Large windows in the meditation hall open toward majestic trees, allowing light and greenery to remain part of your experience, even in silence.
The meeting space is spacious yet intimate – open enough to feel free, contained enough to feel safe. Wooden floors ground the body. The surrounding forest absorbs excess noise. Presence comes more easily here.
Step outside onto the wooden decks and you are immediately in nature. Between sessions, you may walk along forest paths, sit beneath the trees, or simply allow what has shifted inside you to settle. Insight does not remain abstract here – it gently roots itself in the body.

Our Cuisine: Nourishment That Supports Clarity
Transformation is not only insight.
It is also about the body feeling safe enough to soften.
At Valle Benedetta Retreat Center, meals are an integral part of the retreat experience.
Every meal will be a delightful journey in our beautifully designed dining hall. With its big glass windows that open up to the lush greenery outside, you’ll feel as if you’re dining among the trees.

Breakfast begins the day lightly and vitally – fresh fruit, wholesome options that energize without weighing you down.
Lunch is grounding and balanced.
Dinner brings warmth and completion, inviting the body to relax into the evening.
Our well-known chef and attentive staff ensure each meal is a memorable experience.
Dietary needs, including gluten-free and dairy-free options, are lovingly accommodated. You do not need to worry or manage anything. You are cared for.
And something subtle happens when the body feels nourished in this way:
The mind becomes clearer.
The heart more open.
The work goes deeper without force.
Here, even eating becomes part of returning to yourself.
What begins to change
Sometimes you don’t need a breakthrough.
You need a pause.
You may have become so used to constant stimulation that silence feels unfamiliar.
So used to being needed that doing something only for yourself feels almost selfish.
So used to mental noise that stillness feels strange.
You may have learned:
- that productivity equals worth
- that rest must be earned
- that being available is more important than being well
- that slowing down means falling behind
- that your phone must always be within reach
- that tension in the body is “normal”
Over time, this becomes your baseline.
But your body knows otherwise.
During this weekend, without effort, something rebalances.
Through rest, nature, gentle guidance, and digital distance, you begin to notice:
- your breath deepening naturally
- your sleep becoming more restorative
- your mind thinking more slowly — and more clearly
- your body releasing tension you didn’t know you were carrying
- your nervous system shifting from “on” to “settled”
And something even more important:
You remember what it feels like to be with yourself – without distraction.
This weekend of conscious rest can support you in returning home
- more rested in your body,
- clearer in your mind,
- and reconnected with yourself.
What you will experience
Day 1 · Arrive and Land
You arrive on Friday afternoon.
There is no rush. No immediate program to “perform.”You settle into your room. Perhaps you step onto your balcony or patio and let the quiet meet you.
The hills hold a certain stillness. The air feels clean.Your breath begins to deepen without effort.
At 5pm, we gather for a simple welcome. A meditation, a relaxation, a soft transition from daily life into presence.
Dinner is warm and nourishing. Later, we will meet again for a meditation that will support our sleep and rest.
You go to bed already feeling different.
Day 2 · Unwind and Restore
You wake naturally.
You can start the day with yoga – slow, attentive, grounding. Movement that stretches what has tightened. Breath that opens what has been held.
After breakfast, the day opens completely.
Until 5 pm, there is space.
You may take a walk through the forest paths. Sit on the deck with tea. Rest in your room. Book an individual session.Or simply do nothing at all.
No pressure to participate, no agenda to fulfil.
This spaciousness is intentional. It your system to recalibrate at its own pace.
In the late afternoon, we gather again, deepening relaxation, quieting the mind, letting the body settle further.
Dinner brings warmth and connection.
In the evening, we propose music. Singing. Gentle movement. A simple celebration of being alive, without performance.
You sleep more deeply than you expected.
Day 3 · Integrate and Return
Sunday morning begins once more with yoga — steady, grounding, unhurried.
Breakfast follows.
After breakfast there is time for a walk, or for journaling and reflection.
At 11:00, we come together for a closing session.
Just a conscious pause to acknowledge what has softened, what has shifted.
By now, your breath is slower. Your body lighter. Your thoughts less urgent.
We will stay together for a light lunch, and get ready to leave carrying something simple and real:
A felt sense of ease. A reminder that your system knows how to rest. And the experience of having taken time, truly, for yourself.
